The Block Party is a paraquel to The Writing on the Wall, book 1 in The Holiday Series.
If you read Weston and Annie's love story, you probably remember a few key mentions of Talon and her boss, or rather, her boss's boss. Talon is falling in love at the same time Weston and Annie are, and in The Block Party, you'll get a chance to see it all happen in detail.
You will quickly notice that the story begins on the same night, at the New Year's Eve party that all of the friends attend annually. This time, it's told from Talon's perspective, and you get a little more of the event as well. Yes, you will see some scenes from the previous book in this one, but they're now told from Talon's perspective, and you get to fill in the gaps from what Talon tells Weston about Emerson and what's going on between them. The story also moves the timeline for this group of friends from the beginning of the year to St. Patrick's Day, and then closer to July, when you'll witness another love story in the series unfold.
I've said this before, and I think a few reviewers have pointed it out as well, but I wouldn't recommend reading this book at work or in public. ;)
I hope you enjoy watching Talon find her person when the book is released on March 12th!
